I don't follow very many podcasts, but for a little while i made sure i had every podcast ever on my iPod. Version City is the brainchild of King Django aka Jeff Baker, the mastermind behind Stubborn Records and about 80 other bands. Maybe it's not 80 bands, but i cannot remember the last time i have not had at least 1 track in my iPod (or in my CD player back in the old days) with Django on it in some fashion. If you've listened to any ska/reggae from the the East Coast/NYC in the last 20 years, you're probably already familiar with some of his various incarnations. Skinnerbox, Stubborn All-Stars, The Slackers (in the early days), The Scrucialists, and even solo work in various jazz, klezmer, rock, reggae, and even country/tin-pan alley tunes.
Sadly, the Versin City Podcast left for over a year. Django is back with a new episode with special guest from Inspecter 7/Hub City Stompers, Travis Nelson. It says it's only part one, so i hope a 2nd episode isn't too far off.

Big respect to King Django! I'm a fan for life.
